A Definition of FDR:
"Full-depth reclamation is a reclamation technique in which the full flexible pavement section and a predetermined portion of the underlying materials are uniformly crushed, pulverized, or blended, resulting in a stabilized base course. Further stabilization may be obtained through the use of available additives."

The Benefits of FDR:
CONSERVES ENERGY:
- In-place recycling means no hauling away or importing of new material.
CONSERVES MATERIAL:
- Recycling existing materials saves natural resources and energy.
COST EFFECTIVE:
- Existing materials stay on site eliminating unnecessary trucking and disposal costs.
- Future maintenance costs are reduced by improving product performance.
- Savings realized by reduced pavement sections.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY:
- Eliminates material disposal concerns.
- Pollution resulting from heating mixing and hauling are reduced.
IMPROVED PERFORMANCE:
- Full depth process eliminates concerns of reflective cracking.
- Improved resistance to frost penetration in sub-grade.
